My Membership
Make the most of the BIXI season by subscribing with the seasonal payment modality via our website or BIXI mobile app. Available from April 1st until May 31, 2024.
Looking for the monthly option? You can add the monthly payment modality to your account at any time via our website or BIXI mobile app. BIXI membership is continuous and ends only when you decide to cancel it via your BIXI Space.

BIXI membership is continuous and ends only when you decide to cancel it via your BIXI Space by clicking on the button provided for this purpose in the Membership section (see steps below). You must use the BIXI website and not the BIXI app to do this.
By cancelling your continuous BIXI membership, you will not be billed for a new membership period the following month for the monthly payment modality or the following season for the seasonal payment modality. Your membership will therefore terminate at the end of the period you have already paid for, i.e. the date indicated in your BIXI Space in the Membership section.
Plan to cancel your membership at least 48 hours before the expiration date listed, to avoid another payment.
1. Click on View details in the Membership section of your account.
2. Use the toggle switch to activate the membership cancellation function.
3. Your membership will now end on the date indicated in your BIXI Space.

No. Your BIXI membership is linked to your personal account and, consequently, to your credit card. You are responsible for all trips made using your account. BIXI memberships are non-transferable.

If you can no longer remember your password:
Visit our website and click on My BIXI Space or the icon featuring one silhouette in the upper right corner of your screen on the main page. Select Forgot your password? and enter your e-mail address to receive a link by e-mail that will let you reset your password.

If you still remember your old password:
From your BIXI Space on the website:
- Select Modify Profile on the right corner of the page
- Under the Profile section, press on Change password
- Save!
From the BIXI mobile app:
- Tap the icon at the top left of your screen on the app's main page to access your profile
- Tap Edit Profile then Change Password under the Account Info section
- Save!
A BIXI account holder can have several members under their care, with the advantage of using a single credit card for all payments. To take a BIXI ride, every member unlocks a bike with their own membership. The account holder creates an online profile for each co-member to allow them to unlock a bike via the BIXI application.
To do so, log in to your BIXI space on the website! Under Manage My Account, you will find the Members section. Press Modify Profile for your co-member and check the box that indicates "Allow this member to have access to My BIXI Space". You will be asked to add your co-member's e-mail address and they will receive a link to create their password.
Your account may be suspended for one of two reasons below.
- Unfortunately, the payment made with your credit card was declined, which resulted in the suspension of your account. To enjoy the BIXI service again, please update your payment information via your BIXI Space on the website or via the BIXI mobile application. The payment will be processed automatically once your card information is updated.
- The credit card on your account has expired. As it must be valid at all times to allow you to use the service, your account is suspended until you update your payment information via your BIXI Space on the website or via the BIXI mobile application. Your account will be automatically reactivated once you update your billing information.
You can modify your billing information via your BIXI Space on the website or via the BIXI mobile application. By entering a new payment method on your account, you automatically delete the previous one.
From your BIXI Space on the website:
- Select Billing Information under Manage My Account
- Tap Update on the right corner of the page
- Save your new card information. Accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, AmEX credit card; Debit Visa or Debit MasterCard; and prepaid credit card.
- In order to verify your card, a temporary hold in the amount of $0.01 will be charged to your card. The payment hold will be lifted after your card has been authorized.
From the BIXI mobile app:
- Tap the icon at the top left of your screen on the app's main page to access your profile
- Tap Edit Profile then Payment Method under the Account Info section
- Save your new card information. Accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, AmEX credit card; Debit Visa or Debit MasterCard; and prepaid credit card.
- In order to verify your card, a payment hold in the amount of $0.01 will be charged to your card. The payment hold will be lifted after your credit card has been authorized.

To delete your account and all personal and payment information associated with it, you can submit a request using the BIXI app.
- Log in to your BIXI account on the app
- Visit your profile by clicking on the three-bar icon in the upper left corner of the main app screen
- Click on Edit Profile
- Click on Delete account under Account Info
- Enter your password
- Click on Delete account to submit your request
If you have an outstanding balance at the time you request to delete your account, the amount owed must be paid before the deletion process can be completed. If you have an open trip on your account at the time you request to delete your account, the bike must be returned to a station before the deletion process can be completed.
Please note that the account will no longer be available, and all data in the account will be deleted, including unredeemed rewards or credits or membership, ride history, and unused Group Ride passes. No refunds will be processed following the account deletion.
Billing
For BIXI members, usage fees (if applicable) for trips with an electric BIXI or for those of more than 45 minutes with a regular BIXI are billed on the 20th day of each month. An email is sent to you each month to notify you of the availability of your online statement. The statement is available in your BIXI Space on the website under the Billing Statements section.
2024 BIXI rates for seasonal and monthly members
Regular BIXI: Trips longer than 45 minutes: 17₵/minute +tx
Electric BIXI: From the first minute: 17₵/minute +tx
In the case of One-Way trips, the unlock fee is charged to your credit card upon purchase and the usage fees that apply per minute depending on the bike chosen are charged to the credit card after your rental period ends. So don't be alarmed to see your rental in two transactions, the unlock fee will appear the day of your rental and the usage fees will appear the day after your rental.
For the 2024 BIXI season
Unlock fee per bike: $1.35 + tx
Regular BIXI: From the first minute: 20₵/minute +tx
Electric BIXI: From the first minute: 35₵/minute +tx
For BIXI members, per-minute rates apply for:
- electric BIXI trips
- trips of more than 45 minutes with regular BIXI
Usage fees you accumulate over a billing cycle are charged to you once a month, on the 20th day of each month. If you receive a billing statement on June 20, this statement will show you all trips done between May 20 and June 19.
An email is sent to you each month to notify you of the availability of your online statement. The statement is available in your BIXI Space on the website under the Payment section.
For BIXI members, per-minute rates apply for electric BIXI trips and trips of more than 45 minutes with regular BIXIs. Usage fees you accumulate over a billing cycle are charged to you once a month, on the 20th day of each month.
View your billing statement from your BIXI Space on the website.
Go to the Payment section of your BIXI Space.
Find the corresponding billing period (i.e., from July 20 to August 19) and click on the arrow on the right to view the details.
We invite you to verify with your financial institution why the payment might be refused. Please note that there is a $100 security deposit per bike when you join BIXI with a One-Way trip.
