Let's unlock our first bike together!
Download the BIXI mobile app and grant it access to your location by selecting While Using the App (or Always). Also make sure that Precise Location is turned on for the app to work properly.
Then, follow the steps below:
- Open the app, and click on Choose a pass to purchase a One-Way pass or a BIXI membership. If you already have a membership, log in to your account and start at step 2.
- On the main page of the app, click on Scan in the lower right corner of your screen, or select the BIXI station where you are currently located and click on Scan to unlock.
- Scan the QR code on the bike of your choice using your phone's built-in camera. The QR code is positionned on the bike frame near the handles. You will see a yellow light indicating that the code is being validated. The light will turn green when the bike is unlocked.
- Firmly pull the unlocked bike out of the docking point by its handlebars. It’s that easy!
